At the Alatyr 2019 competition in Kaliningrad at the Amber Museum, the work received a personal diploma of the jury member Alexander Krylov.
For two decades of working with amber, I noticed that natural Baltic amber has a different flavor when heated.
If in whole take all the volume of amber processed by me, you can confidently divide its aroma into the following percentage:
85% - the main mass. Amber has the smell of pitch of pine, with a touch of the smell of the sea.
10% - amber with dark inclusions, the so-called "slag" (the name used in the Kaliningrad region).
To the smell of resin is added a distinct smell of peat.
4% - amber of different shades from the total amount when heated has a pronounced flower aroma and less pronounced smell of resin
1% - strong smell of swamp.
